The Flow Funnel is a device used to test flowability (dry flow) and apparent density (bulk density) of plastic powders used for rotational molding process.

Parameters such as, melting point, density, and the molecular weight distribution are so important as the flowability (dry flow) and apparent density (bulk density) of micronized resin, used to obtain quality rotomolded parts.

These tests are a practical and highly efficient tool for the rotomolder to control the quality of it's raw material, once that the material must be micronized with the particle size around 35 mesh/500 microns.

An efficient quality control results in some advantages as:

• Uniformity of the powder to ensure uniform thickness of the rotomolded part.
• Repeatability in the rotomolding process, ensuring standard products.
• Possible gains with reduced oven time.
• Better internal finishing of the part.
